Midland Marketing Scam

I received a phone call today at work from John Miller with the Dept of Crime Prevention. He told me he had an affidavt against for 4 counts of fraud regarding a payday loan I took out with Midland Marketing (CMG GROUP). He told me the amount was for $210.00. He mentioned the name of the bank that the loan was deposited into in March. I never banked at a bank with that name and the only bank I was with that even resembled that name the account was closed in November. When I asked for his address and actual company name he got very angry and told me not to worry where he was at but worry about myself. I told him my attorney and the attorney general in my state requested copies of the affidavt. I asked if would be sending those Certified Mail and he told me no he would email it.

This is the second time I have been harassed by a company in California regarding payday loans. I have not had any payday loans for over a year and all were paid in full. The FBI figures one of these payday loan companies sold their client information or it was stolen that is how thay have so much information. They suggested that I close any account that I received any payday loans in. I have taken their advise and done so. The bank I am with now I have never had a payday loan deposited into it.

If you are a victim call your attorney general and file a complaint. If you are lucky enough to get a city and state where they are located call the local police department and see if they can send over a car to investigate. These people need to be caught and prosecuted.
