I had the branch manager of a BOA on the phone with a rep for BOA online banking, who CONFIRMED to me that, indeed, the online banking website is more up to date than their own computer system within each branch. This being said, I will tell you my story.
I checked my account through online banking on a Friday morning. A payment that I had made on my car showed as pending. Fine. Great. I had made the payment that past Thursday. I go into the actual bank on Saturday, and ask the teller my total amount (assuming that her computer was just as up to date as mine is). She gave me my total, and I took some cash out.

On Monday morning, I came to work and logged into online banking. I was -$300 (yes, that is a negative sign). When I called the 800 number, they couldn't figure out what had happened. He attempted to call the particular branch three times while I was on hold, and they would not pick up. (He started calling at EXACTLY 9:10am). So he told me I would need to leave work and go over there. When I got there, the branch manager was SO rude and inappropriate with me. But that's a complaint in of itself. Anyway, I ended up being helped by a much nicer lady, who in fact confirmed with me that the online banking is not synched with their branch computer system, therefore when I came in on Saturday and withdrew all that money, the teller did NOT see my car payment as pending.instead, they claim, it showed up on their system Monday morning. I have paid SOOO much money in NSF charges, only to walk away from talking with BOA reps feeling like I am completely irresponsible with my money and that it was all my fault. Once in a while they would give me a "courtesy" refund. Growing older I have started to keep immaculate records of my money and I am realizing that BOA is a big scam artist. They have already had multi-class action lawsuits on their hands for the same reason.

I am writing this in hopes that I will find other victims that want justice. I am talking with the attorneys who previously filed a class action suit against BOA, and if anyone would like to join me, please let me know. I will definately be filing a individual suit either way. But I just felt the need to reach out to other victims. We MUST stop this! It isn't right to let these huge banks take our hard-earned money!
