They never had any finance papers that i signed

I recently pulled my credit report and found Autobank Acceptance on my credit. I never heard of this company. I remembered the place where I had purchased the vehicle from. I then contacted the dealership and they had advised me that they do not work with Autobank. They advised me that the vehicle that I had purchased was financed through Nicholas Finance. Not only is Autobank on my credit, but it is on my cousin's credit as well. They have her listed as my co-signer. I attempted to contact them at another number that they had listed, but it was disconnected. I then wrote to them and received a call on February 23 at 3:16 PM. A gentleman stated that he was calling because I had sent them a letter. I asked about the vehicle that they have on file for me. He advised me that it was a 2003 Nissan Altima. I tried to explain to him, that this is incorrect and that I had made payments to Nicholas Finance. He stated that I was working with a gentleman name Sam and now Sam is no longer with the company. I asked him was there any paperwork that I had signed with them, the gentleman stated no. He stated that he cannot remove this from my credit. I advised him, if he has no proof of me purchasing an auto loan from their company then why would they report on my credit that I owe them $4500. The gentleman became very upset and stated that the reason I owe $4500 is because they resold the vehicle and the $4500 is what they lost in selling the car. I asked him how do he know what the car is worth, since there was no inspection done on the vehicle. The gentleman kept repeating that there is nothing that he can do and was very loud. I told him that I was going to seek an Attorney and then he hung up in my face.
