What a scam!

I received a notice in the mail from G.F.institute claiming I was approved for $25,000. First of all, it definitely sounded too good to be true! Secondly, it just didn't look right.

Their address is incomplete as Kansas City, Kansas, and the postage is from IL. I inquired about grants a while back, but this just doesn't look official. I don't believe that someone with legitimate grant resources would put so much info on the outside of an envelope about what was inside.

I went to the Better Business Bureau to look them up, and they weren't registered with them. After that, I decided to Google it. That's how I ended up here. My suspicions were confirmed!

I feel bad for anyone who has been scammed by these people or anyone else. It is such a shame. We work hard for our money and here these people are trying to take it from us. Who do they think they are?

Something needs to be done about this! I will report them to the authorities like someone else suggested. I am also thinkin about calling and giving them a piece of my mind like one guy did.

Thanks to everyone willing to take the time to post their experiences. Let's just hope people take the time to Google the company before they get too excited. It never hurts to research something you're not sure about. It might take a little time, but it can save you from a headache.
