Promotional no interest loan—they lied made my first pmt late interest rate is now 25.24%

I had a promotional no interest loan. I mailed my first payment on the 9th of the month. It wasn't due until the 16th. They said they didn't receive my payment until the 20th. They said they do not go by the postmark, they go by when they receive it. So that took away my no interest and the interest is now 25.24%. I even have a proof of mailing and they still wouldn't change my account. They also charged me $39.00 late fee. I live in California so I don't know if there's any law that says they have to go by the postmark for payments. Because they process all there own payments, they can say they received my payment whenever they want to. This company is the biggest ripoff I have ever dealt with.
