Acu-Shield Financial/Debtco/Emico, Inc... and All Of The Other Names They Go By
No payment of refund and lack of settlement on credit card accounts

I am not the only one on here... But I will share too.

I started with Debtco in 2004 and had 2 small credit cards paid off in a timely manner. Following the payment of thousands of dollars, I requested to end my contract due to the end of my employment on June 23. The then, Acushield Financial stated that it was fine to close the account with no penalties and that it would take 45-60 business days for my refund of $5239.00 to be returned.

That takes us to today. I called the company on a weekly basis and was told every excuse in the book. Finally in November a number was left on my voicemail to contact regarding my refund. I spoke with a Nicolas de Segonzac, Emico Inc. And was assured that my refund would be returned but that it was going to be made in monthly payments. I was provided the 1st payment and a letter stating their intentions, but nothing since. Mr.De Segonzac verbally verified that Acushield employees were told to stall their customers and make up stories because the money was never available for refund due to mismanagment of the prior business.

Ironically, research on my part has discovered that Mr.De Segonzac was the previous CEO of Debtco, which became AcuShield of which he was also CEO. Thus I cannot believe him either.

The December 23 Cease and Desist Order from California is real and the companies were forced to shut down. I have filed with the WV and PA attorney general's offices, FTC, and all of the BBB's I could in the meantime I wait to hear. I will also be seeking private counsel, but I was told by a private attorney to start with the attorney general in WV first because he previously fought this company!!! Wish me luck...
