Company holding thousands of dollars of our money very good at giving excuses

We originally joind with a company called Best Debt Solutions. They were soon acquired by Acushield financial. We were originally told that they would have us debt free in 36 months. Well at 36 six months we only had one bill settled but they still took our money from us. Wheever we would call to ask what is goin on with our account we got the same excuses everytime.

The first excuse they tried to feed us is that they did not have any records of settlement offers that were supposed to be faxed to their office. When I told the customer service rep that this was not true becasue I had confirmations on every fax that we sent them I was told that it takes 3 to 4 months to get accounts settled. They would then state that they would e-mail a negotiator and let them know of my cncerns. This has been going on for the last two years, I would get the same answer every time.

SO Last July I finally decided that we were going to drop out of their program and that I wanted our money back. I got an e-mail stating that my request was received and that it takes 2-5 days to process my request and then it would take 45-60 days to process a refund. We are now 74 days out from that request for a refund and guess what more excuses. Two weeks ago we got a call from a so called ceo stating that she is aware of our concerns and that there is a problem.

SHe stated that the problem is that we signed a contract with the other company and not Acushield and this delays things a bit more. Funny thing about when this company calls us 1. They call in the middle of the day when we are both at work. 2. They call us at home when they have it on file that we both work. I have made them aware that since we are no longer in their so called program we are not bound by the arbitration agreement any longer, and we are currently seeking advice from an attorney.

Everyone please beware of this company they are nothing but a sham. We could have had all of our debts settled on our own by now if we had just done this ourselves. The only thing Acushield Financial provides is a lot of headaches and grief.
