Unauthorized charges $279.00 attempted to be taken from checking account.
My bank called this morning to advise I had insufficient funds. I need to deposit $. I asked why since I had xx. Xx balance in my account.
United Response Services has charged my account $279.00. My response of "no way" prompted the bank to ask if I authorized this transaction. Absolutely not! She gave me needed reference/confirmation # & phone #.
United Response Services phone#: 888-778-0068 answered as "Thank you for calling Third Party, a billing company". Was given customer service phone#: 877-281-9243 & told the charges regarded purchase of discount medical services.
Ryan indicated I purchased a discount medical services card. I advised this was an unauthorized charge. He quickly stated he will close the account once I verify info. & then refund my $279.00. The address they had was wrong.
His "top investigator will call me in 3 days to answer any/all questions I voiced.
BANK SAID: Anyone can obtain banking info, at bottom of checks. Nothing can be done except to daily monitor your accounts for fraudulent charges and hopefully stop transaction before completed. Bad people hope you wont notice $ gone until you get statement a month later.
