Chase Credit Cards
Payments Doubled along with $10 monthly "service charge"

Business & Finance

I opened my monthly statement from Chase to find that there was a $10 "Service Charge" applied this month along with the regular interest due on the balance. Then I noticed where my last amount due had been below $100, my new due amount was $196.

I've never been late a day on my payments, have always paid above the min due and this is how Chase is treating me. I called to find out what was going on. I was told that they had changed their agreement. I thought an agreement was between two people? I didn't change anything.

I was told if I didn't like it I could take "Opt Out" which meant the account would be closed and the balance would be due in 30 days. Or I could have my interest rate increased to almost 8% along with the $10 monthly service fee.

So not only have I had to give up a 10% pay cut, I get to try and figure out how to pay double on a card along with an extra $10 each month. This is really great. Chase must be so proud. How many billions of our tax dollars did the get?

How much of my 401K got wiped out by Morgan Stanely? I can't turn around without Chase screwing me.
