Real Smooth Telemarketers that don't take NO for an answer rip-off swindlers

Mistake 1. I answered my home phone. There, at the other end was a seemingly nice male who offered me a membership to the CCS Shopping Network. I politely said "no thank you" If only it had been that simple. He Protested, insisting this service would help my credit, (how did he know that would strike a nerve?) He offered gift certificates for funiture, clothing all available from their catalog.

He offered gasoline, free, for signing up. He offered a seperate card availble to me called the First National Bank Credit Card, which I could use for cash advances, "like payroll advances, without the heavy loan fees, and each time it's used, it boosts your credit report" Even at that point I declined the offer, he quickly retrieved his "manager" who was even more smooth than he was.

Eventually, I caved. After two "automatic" deductions from my account, I was a "Member". SO, with their catalogs being sent to me and gift certificates in hand, (that I ultimately paid for-gift certificates, hmmm.) Anyway, I later received a "bill" for $300 in "memebership fees" I called an TRIED to cancel. They said I had to pay the $300 and THEN they would cancel my "membership".

I have not had an extra $300 laying around, so I have not paid. So much time has passed, are there more fees dues now? They are real quiet until it's time to send out the bill for services NOT RENDERED. Be careful!
