Protection Junction
Protectionjunction.com, offered $200 free gift certificates to Target for shipping and handling charges only

Internet & Web

I received an offer over the internet for $200 free gift certificates to Target. I only had to pay shipping and handling charges of $4.95. With it came a membership to a credit monitoring agency, Protection Junction, that I could cancel at any time and not incur any further charges. First, my account was debited twice for the $4.95 charge. I called the customer service number I was given, 1-800-795-7998, and I got a voice mail. I left my name and number but my calls were never returned. There were subsequent charges to my account in the amount of $49.95 - twice. I've had to cancel my card and dispute these charges with my bank. I never received the promised gift certificates. I continue to call the customer service number to no avail. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Don't fall for this scam like I did.
