Phoney lottrery winnings

Barnam once said "theres a sucker born every minute". Also if it sounds to good to be true it probably is. (old but appropiate) Today I recieved a check from Canada for the amount of $4750.00. Supposedly I had won a $250,000 USA MEGA MILLIONS. Nice thought but I had not entered the sweepstakes but I called the number in the letter 1-416-856-4671 and I got some one that I could barely understand. He instructed me to deposit the $4750 dollar check in my bank on Monday and call them on Tuesday and he would instruct me as how to proceed and the rest of my winnings would be delivered by FEDX or some other delivery service. The letter state and I quote"Legal and administrative fees have been calculated in the the enclosed check fro$4750. These fees are mandatory and are meant to satisfy official Laws and Income Tax protocols as mandated by the U.S. Goverment."

We googled the mega millions web site and found the company, PACIFIC FUDCIARY TRUSTEES, listed and their scam was to have me deposit their check and send them funds from my bank account and then several days later I was to discover that this is a bogus check and I am out the $4700 bucks.

No thanks but thank you complaint.
