I also have been taken for a ride by Fairbanks. I agree, you need to document, document, document. My home loan was sold to Fairbanks Capitol Corp several years ago.

I started having problems with them pretty much off the bat. Unable to get through on the phone, getting disconnected after being left on hold for 30 minutes, or being transferred several times and then being disconnected.

I also made payments and then received a Demand Letter indicating that I could lose my home. Upon trying to correct the problem, I was told not to worry it was a mistake on their end. The problem showed up again the following month again. Of course you never get the same person. When I explained the situation, I was told something else. My account was racking up charges right and left.

Things finally got to the point that I had to sell the house as I was about to loose it due in part to thier record keeping. I also could no longer deal with the stress they were creating.

Since my loan has been paid off, I have spent the last year sending letters with attachments to their legal department. I have also sent copies of my complaints to Financial Services Division (FTC), US Dept of Housing & Urban Development, David Barker - Atty General's Office in Utah and the Oregon Division of Finance and Corp Securities Section.

To date, I have only received run around excuses from Fairbanks and tons of paper. They seem to contridict themselves in every letter they send back.in the last response letter last year, they even refused to answer any questions that I had. I would be happy to share what I have if anyone is interested.

Nothing would give me more pleasure at this point then to see them bleed!
