Get Moving Today
Rip-off Illegal Pyramid Scheme Dallas Texas

Business & Finance

As a financial advisor, I come into contact with people from all walks of life on a daily basis. Recently, I made a phone call to a prospect to set up an appointment. This prospect told me he would only meet with me if he could tell me about an exciting business opportunity.

Immediately, I knew that I was dealing with someone peddling an Amway like product, but I agreed due to the nature of our business relationship. This particular prospect was involved in something known as Get Moving Today. When I asked him how the particular business worked, he said that he didn't know.in fact, his entire "business operation" involved signing up new customers, who in turn would sign up other customers. I sat quietly as he showed me how I could make $36,000 from an initial $600 investment over the course of 14 months.

The product for sale was a web portal that apparantly did nothing except serve to legitimize the business, even though only way you made money was by signing up other customers. I asked him how many people had signed up with him, and he showed me a computer printout with literally hundreds of names. He even bragged about convincing several small church congregations to sign up. Additionally he had begun signing up elderly widows who were making little interest on their cds.

I've reported Get Moving Today to the BBB, but it appears to have done little good. Please stay away from this and any other scheme that involves signing up other individuals as the only way of making money.
