Clearview Lending Services
It is a scam!

Business & Finance

Okay, so on October 30, I was contacted by a Jamie Davenport with Clearview Lending Services. Mr. Davenport informed me that I had been approved for a personal loan of $5000.00. But would have to send $930.00 in order to secure the loan, and not to have a payment due until July. Usually I'm pretty smart about these things, but lets just say Mr. Davenport is very good at sugar coating everything.

I told Mr. Davenport that I didn't have that kind of money right then, but was very interested and I would see what I could do and give him a call back. He then let me know he was going to go ahead and fax the contracts to me and for me to look them over and when I was ready to go ahead and fax back and give him a call.

That same day I received the contracts and I looked them over and decided to take a few days to think about it.

On Nov 3, I got a hold of my mom and asked her if she would be willing to loan me the money if I gave it right back to her the very next day. She was kind of hesitant considering this was her social security check and that was the only way of paying any bills. But she went ahead and gave me the $930.00 to send. That afternoon I contacted Mr. Davenport and told him I was ready to go through with the process, he then instructed me to go to Wal-Mart and send a moneygram to somewhere in Canada, and to an individual for that matter. (I don't know about you, but that should have been an automatic red flag). But excited about getting the loan, I ignored my gut feeling, sent the money and faxed the rest of my info.

Well, guess what, the very next day November 4, I recieved a call from Glenn Russell with customer service saying that there had been a problem and he needed an additional security deposit. Extremely irritated at the fact that I had already sent them almost $1000.00, and he was asking for another $1000.00, I told him no. Okay, if I had that kind of money laying around I wouldn't have applied for a loan. I then explained to him that I had borrowed my mothers whole paycheck and that I needed a refund asap, so she could pay her bills. Mr. Russell said that the lenders next billing cycle wasn't until December 1, and I would get my money then.

Its December 1, today and no refund. Tried calling the number no answer. So, that pretty much confirms my suspicions all along, that this Clearview Lending Services is a scam. And to make matters worse, I had to pay my mom back out of my own pocket resulting in me getting behind on my bills. Which resulted in almost destroying my marriage. I think this scam has pretty much ran its course but just in case, please please please no one else fall for this. Especially since Christmas is just around the corner. And because of this place, money is going to be very thin for my kids this year.
