Capital One Credit Card
Fraudelent credit reporting on card I neveractivated nor used

Beware presents for charge cards from Capital One. I obtained a pre-approved offer to get a card from Capital One, but rejected their present. I never triggered or employed the card and alternatively shredded it and dumped it securely. Over eight weeks later I noticed a study delivered to the credit agency from Capital One, declaring the card have been utilized was shut and had a late-payment onto it. After I named Capital One I had been informed the card was never triggered from their documents and not utilized, however they weren't ready to describe how this type of statement was delivered to the credit agencies. After over two hours to be disconnected and used in five diverse people I had been ultimately used in somebody in administration (I believe), who explained I'd need to delay 45 times or even more to be delivered an application to load and return detailing the same. I still don't understand if they are likely to correct their mistake. I've needed to document reviews with all three-credit agencies and am along the way of processing using the FTC.

Capital One's reaction to all this hasbeen to try to irritate me in the place of fixing what must have been an easy issue.
