Closed Card Account Kept Issuing Cards and Charges Appeared

I accepted their card in 2004 because it had no annual fee. Never used it so I asked them to close the account. They gave me some run around about writing a letter to them and so I cut up the card, pasted it to a copy of a zero balance monthly statement, put it in their return envelope with a letter telling them to close, cancel, whatever to this account... Thank you.

About six months later I moved out of the country. In 06-08 I returned on a visit and my brother gave me a sack full of junk mail to sort through. I found about twenty different credit cards for me, my son, and my wife, who is not a US citizen. I found new Chase cards for 2008. I wrote return to sender, no one by that name at this address and sent them all back.

I went to their website and found I was being charged for withdrawals and parking meters. I sent an email to them to send all these charges to their fraud dept. And that I don't even live in the US and no longer have nor want a credit card from their corp. They sent an email back saying they would forward it to their fraud dept. Great, I leave the country, fly back to my island and suddenly my brother emails me saying that some credit guy from Chase is looking for me and I am still being charged.
