Company ripoff false promises tricked and lied to us Monroe Alexandria

I contacted agent through newspaper ad, set up a meeting, told my case. The field agent told me to bring documents; I did. He looked them over and said he could reduce my tax from a little over $16,000 to about $1500-$2000 and that I would have to pay a monthly fee of $228 to JK Harris. I hadn't filed taxes for 5 years and when I filed them all with H&R after my bankruptcy. H&R figured my tax burden to be around $10,000 including penalities, interest, etc. IRS said $16,000.

After 3 months of paying $228 fees to JK Harris, I got papers for an offer in compromise to pay the IRS over $13,000.00 on a monthly payment schedule of around $560 a month for 24 months. With the IRS payment and JK Harris fee $228, that is more than half of my income monthly. The field agent had all the paperwork that was turned in to JK Harris company.

He deceived me with his quotes and ripped me off with high fees. The company basically only served me by setting me up with a monthly payment schedule to the IRS, something that an individual could do free without paying a $2500 fee. J.K. Harris has not finalized negotiations, yet, and this report may be revised.
