Unfair hike in annual percentage rate

I received my washington mutual credit card statement on oct 15 and they raised my annual percentage rate to 30.48%. I have not been late, overlimit or had any charges added to my credit card.

I called them and they said they could not help me so i asked for a supervisor.
The supervisor said i could get my lower interest rate back only if i close my account. They are doing this because of the takeover of their company by chase.

You can bet there is a underline benefit to them in closing accounts so they can keep them and make money off closed accounts. Something is very wrong with this credit card company.

My daughter got a 10% increase in her credit card with this company and she called them also. The same thing was said to her. My daughter also is very good at paying on time and not over the limit.

The national news said this morning that washington mutual is being investigated by the fbi and other agencies. We the american people have to stop companies like this for taking advantage of us.
