Check Fraud Allegan

I too recieved a letter stating that I won the Readers Digest Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes. That I won 57,000 enclosed was a check for 3988.95 to cover administrative taxes and clearance fees. I did not call the number in the letter. I looked up the number for the bank the check was drawn on and was informed that it was a fraud as I suspected. I then turned the envelope, check and letter to our local police department.
