Is Bank of America solvent

I am a Bank Of America customer and i am wondering they are so big that the government wont let them fail? Or could they?

I know insurance covers me but if many banks failed the insurance fund would run out.

I have read about them and they are doing well in this economy but do we know how much their mortgage related losses are?
