Very high collteral fee for loan Providence Rhode Island

Applied for personal loan 9/08 and agent called me 9/9/08. The amount I was looking for was $30,000. And she told me I was approved but had to come up with a $4200 COLLATERAL fee. If I had that kind of money, I wouldn't be asking for a loan! Anyway, told her I couldn't do that and she lowered it to half with other half due when signed for loan. Sounded kind of fishy to me so I went to the BBB web sight and tried to look up this company. Nothing.

Did a full web search and the only thing I came up with was their sight, nothing else. So I called the BBB. They have no listing for this company and asked if I would like to file a complaint. I said no because they have not taken any money from me and they have little info on me. The reason I am writing this is because I BELIEVE they are a scam business preying on people who are REALLY looking for help. Do your research before giving ANYONE money, personal and bank info. Too many rip offs in this day and age and you really can't trust anyone!
