On December 30th I was turned down for a mortgage due to a bad credit score. Upon further verification there was a Capital One Bank card account opened in June that didn't belong to me. It was opened by my exhusband over the internet with no verification what so ever on Capital One's part. The billing and mailing address where not mine, the last name used was not mine either, and my employment was never called to verify any information. I'm a single mother whose worked hard to get ahead for a negligent and dishonest company like Capital One to come along and ruin my chance at a home for my son and I. I now have to sign a new lease and rent for another year until I'm able to clear this up. I urge everyone with a Capital One account to go elsewhere with there business and close down this unscrupulous business!!!
