There are some good collectors at GC Services and there are some with no tallent.in the defense of the good collectors who are trying to feed their families it is not their fault for being pushy. The collectors at GC services do not last long the company has the highest turn-over rate of employees that I have ever seen. The collectors are in my oppinion abused by the company and threatend with termination every two weeks when the employees are asked to sign a letter stating they will be terminated if they do not collect a certain amount of money each month. I worked for GC Services for years befor I decided I had enough. I have seen good collectors who never violated the law threatend with termination because they took thier vacations so their numbers were low for the month. The collectors in fear did what every they could to get payments to save thier jobs. I have had management use foul language and send me home without pay for a day because I would not lie to a consumer about the date a debt would be posted on their credit because the manager wanted the paymnt now. GC services does make all their employees sign documents stating they wont violate the law, but then management puts so much pressure on its employees they do what they have to to keep their jobs. Again this is all just my opinion not all collectors are bad people they are just people who are themselves being abused. I think the whole collection industry should have a union that protects the employees, this would also help stop the harrasment of consumers.
