Quicken Loans, Greg Mc Murtry
Told NOT to contact me, still getting 2-3 calls a day

I decided to look into getting a home loan, and entered information on a form on the web that would get me '3 or 4' lenders interested in doing this-and Quicken loans (individual's name, Greg Mc Murtry) was one of those who contacted me. We went over all details-in the meantime, I also gave the exact same information to two other potential lenders. McMurtry came back with a higher interest rate than the other 2-in addition, while the others were quoting me in writing their arrangements, McMurtry only ran a credit check that is on my record, while the others did not-this is a negative on your report, and I did not indicate that I was going with Quicken at any time.

I told McMurtry that I would contact him if I had any interest in going with Quicken, but it seemed unlikely since their interest rate was almost a full point higher. I said, clearly, for him NOT to contact me.

Since then (three weeks now) I get calls all day from him, either leaving messages or just hanging up. Usually, i get 2 or 3 calls, sometimes more. I do not answer them (caller ID) and I do not answer the ones that have numbers that make no sense-I have to assume that these are from him as well, since they have started since I began this process.

These are my observations and opinions, and I am feeling somewhat vindicated since I went online and see so many negative posts about Quicken Loans. I would have nothing to do with this operation-sounds like some boiler room operation that will annoy or cajole you into making a big mistake.
