Visa Card And Mastercard Services credit card scam phishing identity theft

They called... Again... It was "heather" calling to lower my interest rates on my credit cards... Which is weird considering the fact that I do not have any credit card accounts anymore.

They later told me the name was Visa Card and Master Card services. Stated they were from Miama, FL (but yesterday they were from Phoenix, AZ). Called saying that they would lower the intrest rate on all my credit cards and all I had to do was give the credit card numbers to them.

The number they called from and gave me was 877-388-7245 ext. 273 for Lara. And she gave me an address of 22 Green Street in Miami. Which I doubt exists...

I gave them the info off of a closed account I have and was told that a "supervisor" would call me in 30 minutes to verify the information. Never got a call... I'm sure had I given them a real number, it would have been charged up. Considering they "needed" to know how much the credit limit was and what the balance was along with the name as it appears on the card and the zip code for the card.

They did call back 10 minutes later to tell me that they tried to "verify" the card and it was not a valid card. I asked them how much they tried to take out of the closed account and they hung up on me.

This company calls every other day even after I asked to be taken off their list. It's a scam and REALLY needs to be stopped.

I have made a complaint with the FCC about them, however, I'm sure a ton of other people have done the same thing... Seems like they are in a different city (or so they say) every time they call me so, kinda hard to pinpoint exactly where they are calling from.
