Payoff Refund Over $2,600 Still Not Received Weeks Later

I finally was able to refinance my first and second mortgages which had been sold to Fairbanks Capital Corp, unfortunately. The loans were repaid on November 15 and Fairbanks told me I had to wait 20 business days to have my refund, over $2600. They said the check would be mailed on November 13. Well, needless to say that this is December 24 and I still don't have a check in my hands.

I call them daily and they say that the check, according to their records, was mailed from Utah on December 9th. I say BULL. They will not wire the funds to my account, they say they must send a check. They will not even put a stop on these checks until they are outstanding for one month. I say BULL. When is someone going to do something about them?
