Evil dirt bags, business that does not care

All of the sudden get a statement in the mail saying owe this amount of money and have to account numbers but the same balance on both accounts-nothing saying what it is for-no 800 number to call just their long distance phone number. It turns out that it is on an account that I was paying on with some else.

I called where the orginal account was to find out what is going on. They were sure either, but thought that Tri-County had bought out the other company that I was making payments to. So I then called the company that I was making payments to and said that I need to speak with the head man at Tri_County and he would help me with any questions. Never recieved anything that Tri-County was taking over my account or that they bought them out, just another bill, and if you are a collection agency wouldn't you think that they would have an 800 number.

I tried to tell them that I wanted to know what the other account was besides an overdraft, where was it drawn, when, and such. They say that they can not find the file to tell me what it is. And they were not going to except my payments that the other company was excepting. Next I know that they offer me a payoff and I told them that I would take it, and that I want writing saying that it would be paid off in full, then they tell me that they need more money. Now they are going to garnish my wages of 28% or I have to pay them $300 a month and now have interest on the account, none of this is in writing. Supposley with both accounts that I only know what one account is turely for is less then 2,000 dollars together.

I am tring my best to pay off and they are telling to pay the whole thing in one payment and chuck it up as a learning experience. If there is anyone that can pay 2,000 dollars for something that they do not know what it is and is a single mother of 2 and working butt off to pay other past bills and has a low-income what is one to do. They are not even willing to work with me. Some people are so rude. Every time I talk to them they are mean and hastle. They also give out personal information to family members. Where is confednitally?
