Mike Powers Low life collection agency uses illegal scare tactics to bully businesses, Arizona, N. Carolina, Ohio

A "private investigator" called me. He claims that he was hired by someone to do a liability/asset workup of the company and that he would come to the business to take pictures of all the assests including cars and everything that was associated with the business.in addition he informed that he will contact all our banks, creditors, Secretary of State, associates Etc. He said to call 800-375-3186. When I called, I found out that this company is called Vericore. They are nothing but a low life collection agency trying to use illegal scare tactics to try to get business owners to panic so that they will just give in and hand over money and these low lifes at Vericore will colelct their fat commission. If you get contacted by these people, first of all don't worry. Secondly, just hang up on their face becuase they will just try to get info out of you becuase they do not have anything on you. Thats all. They probably will not send you anyting in writing. I also have a feeling that they will try to sneak cases into civil court without servind people, in order to get default judgements. If this happens to you and you are a business, just hire a lawyer to file whats called a motion to dismis or an order to show cause, based on the plaintiff not serving you with a summons. The lawyer will just get the case dismissed. If you are an individual, you can do this yourself. Just ask the court clerk for directions.
