Disinherited IRA-"Simplify" your beneficiries

A story in Forbes magazine, the 9/3 issue, spoke about being "Disinherited by Vanguard". At this time they are attempting to disinherit eleven beneficairies of my sisters account, which was totally against my sisters wishes. Does anyone know what can be done to correct, what appears to me, a crime? Thank you for any information you might furnish.
