PNC Bank, has an automated system that charges an overdraft fee of $36 when your account is in the negative and $6 per day that it is overdrawn. However, they failed to informed their customers that they will charge your account an overdraft fee of $36 when it is in the positive as well. For example, if you deposit a check (state treasury) of a $1000 or more through the ATM (which frees up $200) and a withdrawl greater than the $200 allotted amount on the same day you will accrue an overdraft fee even if there are funds available to cover the charges. And if you call customer service to complain and asked why you have received these fees, because according to your online statement your account is not in the negative and you would like the fees to be waived, they will happily tell you no.
