Fifth Third Bank
Blatant & scrupulous business practices condoned by Fifth Third Bank management as they tactfully misled unsuspecting customers to make minimum payment on statement dates deadlines that will not post as credit to the account causing Late payment!

As I began to observe a late charge posted to my credit card account. I began to wonder why this should have occurred.

It turns out that when Fifth Third Bank sends out a monthly statement, You are not to assume that that date is valid? June 8 is a Sunday. The bank is closed Saturday & Sunday.

That means that if the Check is not posted on Friday June 6, It will now have to wait to be posted on the next business day Thus causing it to go in Late.

I called up the banks customer service dept. And I was very polite and told them that I was an excellent customer and that perhaps that may extend a courtesy to waive the first charge.

They flat out said No! I asked to speak to a Supervisor Jason. He was as cold as they come. No No No. Pretty much how it went. I even got the bank employee to agree that she get a lot of similar customer complaints on the same subject.

This banks management acts as thought they are completely invincible and can flaunt their arrogance about fair business practices. I feel as thought I have been dealt most unfairly.

They have bestowed my trust. The $39.00 dollar charge was of little consequence to me however, That was truly a low blow that I wish others would not have to experience.

P.S. They know exactly what they are doing. They lured me by offering me 0% interest on a credit for 12 months. Just so they can cause me to go late by default and forcing my cards interest to jump up to 21.9%.

I was fortunate enough to be able to pay off the balance. I'm sure that they do this to hundreds of unsuspecting customers... Where is the justice in what I call criminal business behavior?
