Tina Hanby Owes me $2380.00. Promised $600 IRS in June and $1000 from EX. She got her checks but never paid me

Katrina borrowed money from me and promised she would pay me in Jan, then in March, then in June for sure. She said she was getting checks from both IRS on her, her daughter and her EX husband and she would give me all the money. She got her checks and then came to be with yet another reason as to why she could not pay.

She was living in my home so I decided there was no need in giving her a roof if she could not pay me the money she owed me. She said, "I promise and I will even sign a notarized statement saying I will pay you when I get my CD out. But... I was afraid she would sign the statement, then get the CD and run. So I told her, "No, your vehicle is paid for so sign the title of that over to me until you pay me. You would keep the keys and car. I don't drive and you know that so it would be just signing the title over to me. Then when you pay me, I will sign it back over. She said, "no, I can't do that" so I knew she was only trying to con me out of a few more months of free rent as well as the money. That will teach me to have a tender heart. I will never trust another soul. I will get some collateral before I ever do anything else so stupid.
