US Bank Lakewood
US Bank "Clips" Direct Deposit Accounts

Business & Finance

If you have direct deposit and your paycheck is scheduled to post Monday at 12:00 A.M., and you have written a check Saturday evening—the thieves at US Bank will say the check posted a day earlier than your direct deposit. How can a check that's not electronically filed, written on a Saturday get to the bank and post on Monday? We have been ripped off twice, but never again... [and we all know that banks does not process on Saturdays]. When the check shows up, in order to collect overdraft fees, they will say the check posted Monday afternoon. There is no way! I know for sure, because I wrote a check from my other account at a different bank, at the same business, on a Saturday, and this check took three days to clear my other account. Banks are legally "licensed" to steal from the people. I have a friend who is a former bank employee to tell me that, "Banks defiinitely does capitalize upon your ignorance." I don't exactly call it ignorance, but the bank's way of making easy profits off of direct deposit accounts. I definitely believe that these fraudulent practices will be exposed & "nipped in the bud" someday, soon.
