I get a call from Kevin at Credit Card Services yesterday, saying I am eligible for an interest rate reduction. (like I have received from a legitimate card company service a few months ago). Can I verify the card and myself, so I do, and then get transferred to an account rep. Named Wanda.

I ask who Wanda works for (which card services company) and cannot get a straight answer. So, I ask how they got my name and how they make their money for negotiating on my behalf, since she is not associated with the credit card company. She tells me that I am guaranteed to save $2500 in interest (the fee) or I owe nothing. And they got my info. From the credit card company.

Wanda says her company gets paid via the bank which holds my card. I ask how might I owe money if I do not save $2500 in interest. I am told that is not a possibility because I have been prequalified. Otherwise I would be in a different department.in 5 to 7 days I will get a packet of information in the mail in order for the rest of my credit card interest rates to be negotiated and a detailed explanation of the program.

After all this talk I am told that I will need to talk to T.J. To verify my information again and record my authorization to participate in this program. Wanda tells me that T.J. Must call me back as the phones are jammed with clients.

Within 2 minutes I get a call from T.J. On a cellular phone, who says he wants to record our conversation. I say yes and he begins by naming his company as Dynamic Financial and that I authorize $2500 to be charged on my credit card for this service. I told him that I am not authorizing any amount to be charged to this or any other account. I was under the impression that I was authorizing participation in an interest rate reduction program.

T.J. Transfers me back to Wanda, who then begins to question him, on the same phone line, as to what he told me, that I would think that I am about to pay $2500. The two begin to play good cop, bad cop. Completely unprofessional behavior. They again state how much I could be saving if I authorize this program, which I refused.
