I recently started getting phone calls from this company in regards to a debt from a cellular phone company that I haven't done business with, or heard from in over 7 years. According to Oklahoma civil laws, the statute of limitations has run out and this company is just trying to buy this accounts that are charge offs etc. To make their stock look good. I had not received anything in the mail, but when I called back the 800 number, that was the name of the business. They never leave a message either, just hang up.

Well, I have some awful bad news for this collection agency. They just bought nothing. For anyone else who reads this article, make sure that if you are contacted by a collection agency, and it has been quite some time since you had contact with the company you owe money to, tell them that the statute of limitations has run out, that you don't know who they are, or what they are trying to collect on, and furthermore, stop making calls to your house or business. Admit to nothing. And your better off not talking to them at all, because in some instances, if you do make contact with these parties regarding a past account, the statute of limitations can start all over again and you might end up in civil court.
