Cursing and Insults

I am a contractor in Iraq and when I was home on vacation I contacted this creditor to see what the debt was about, as it showed up on my credit report. I found out the debt was from the college I used to go to and I was happy to make arrangements to pay the debt off but said I would have to wait a little bit and talk to a credit counseling agency to start paying off my debts. I had to go back to Iraq and left the paying off stuff up to my wife. Somehow she forgot to get back to this one and when I called on my next vacation the man, David Williams, said "what did you get a divorce or something... I thought you fell off the face of the earth."

I proceeded to ask if I could settle the debt and he said that no it had to be paid in full because i had not called him back. I told him that he could settle or I would pay $20 a month. He said "what is that some kind of cutsy joke" to which I replied that it was not. He then took the $20 payment a month.

But then he proceeded to tell me that he didn't know how people volunteered to go to Iraq and that my wife "must be a real bitch" for me to stay over there if i didn't have to. He said he had talked to guys over there and it "wasn't all that bad over there and I shouldn't be using being over there as an excuse." I replied that I didn't know how he could say that as my camp had been mortared numerous times and that he did NOT know what he was talking about. Needless to say it was pretty insulting to hear the stuff he was saying. He laced the conversation with all kinds of obscene language... Not necessarily cussing AT me but I don't feel it was very professional at all to be using cursewords during the course of our conversation about my debt.
