Consumer First: Scam Or Just Poor Rookie Judgement

Fellow Consumers,

I have also recieved a pre-approved certificate for a platinum card for $5000 from Consumers First. I have noticed however, there really was not any helpful info about their services, card sponsorship, nor a phone/fax number, not even a website listing!

So, naturally I went to the BBB site to check their legitimacy and also tried searching for their web page, hence running into this wonderful place while searching.

According to the BBB site they are recently new, starting in September. The company manager is MS. BILLIE PARDEE.

Also the BBB claims that Consumers First has not been on their files long enough for them to provide a report beyond this info provided. I hope this can be usefull to you all.

On this site I found out that the Platinum credit offered was really for their own catalog, which was not mentioned, nor any examples given of their products in the letter. If they're legit, they risk a bad rep & legal headaches, as a new business by not being up front with the consumer until after recieving a "so - called" membership payment.

I don't enjoy having my freedom of choice snatched away from me, I might have liked the catalog if given the chance or more info was provided, but not blindly for $45. I'm not a cat...
