Collection Agency Scam

I am afraid I am having the very same experience as others who have worked with this group. A very aggressive come on to use their service followed by absolutely no communication so you have no idea what they are actually doing and get a different stroy about why there is no communication back each time. I've called numerous times to be told:

1) My documents were misplaced but just found
2) My account handler was out sick (two weeks running) - but, Howard, the person who takes calls assured me everything was going well with the collection...
3) And when my account handler was finally reached I was told that my file was in fact misplaced, found and sent to the attorney (which meant nothing was going right with the collection) as if he had never handled the case — Howard got on the phone immediately to assure me Steve had misspoke...

Keep in mind I have never been contacted about the status of the collection nor have I receives a scrap of documentation. What I do receive is assurances that I will be called back each time I call - but never am.

And the best part. When I ask "how can i trust that you are being honest with me when I never receive a phone call back and get a different stroy each time I call" - Howard say's "I guess you can't."

At present I have been told that I will be called back in two weeks with status on the collection - If not I have told them I will be calling the States Attorney's generals office and the Better Business Bureau I will keep you all apprised if they do the right thing and will amend the repoert in their favor if they do.
