No Online Payment Option and Phone Check Payment Refused

I was on vacation and forgot to mail a few bills. No problem, my wife said, go online and make a payment. So I did. I paid a few credit cards, my phone bill and my cable bill, and then I went to www.citifinancial.com and could not locate the "pay now" button. Hmm, I must be tired, so I called them, because everyone has "pay now" features, including some of the worst companies in the world. I was told by a rude telemarketer, "We do not provide that level of service. If you wish to apply for another loan I can help with that." She repeated it four times. Finally I said, "OK, I'll pay by check over the phone." I offered this reluctantly, because most companies charge a fee for it, although less than a late fee, and it does not affect my credit report.

She again repeated her little sales mantra and said they do not offer this level of service! What nonsense. Now, and I guess it is my fault, I will have to write a check, mail it by regular mail, and incur a late fee. What a lousy way of doing business. Next month I will pay off this loan, they can lose the interest, and I will never ever ever do business with them again. Imagine, in the 21st century they refuse to have online payment features. It must be a business plan to charge late fees. Some middle manager in that company must be proud of their stupid idea. They can go take a leap as far as I am concerned. They should be sued!
