Beyond harrasement!

United Processing contacted my brother in California April 15 about a "fraudulent check" that I wrote.
On 04/16 I called United Processing was told my Travis Taylor that I owe 547.50 on a check that was written October 10. I asked Mr Taylor why I had not been contacted on this matter sooner? He became upset and said that I had refused to pay this fraudulent check! And I would be arrested TODAY! The total was 1145.00.

When I asked what the balance was for he refused to tell me. He threatened me that if I did not pay in the next 2 hours a sheriff would be at my house or job to arrest me today! I was mortified! Panicing, I left my JOB and went to wal-mart, as he demanded, to use the easy-pay.
I could not come up with all of the money I called Travis back and asked if I could pay the face value of the check today and when I figure out what the remaining fees were then I would pay them. He agreed. I called Mr. Taylor back with the code confirming payment. He said okay you have until 4:00 the following day to pay the balance of 620.00.

On April 17th at 9:00 A.M. I called the company that I had the owed the money to; told the business manager that I had paid 525.00 to United Processing and she said that she would call and confirm payment and it would be cleared up.

It is still not cleared up and I recieved 25 phone calls on 4/17! Threats of arrest and Mr. Talor informed me that he was not accepting payment from me. How do i clear this up and stop the calls and harrasement to my family, job and myself?
