Ripoff false promises paid money for card, but no access screwed others too

I recently recieved a letter stating I have been guarranteed for a platinum card with $5000 credit limit. I sent in the 49.00 that was required for membership. I was sent the card along with a catalog and instructions on how to use their web site. The stipulation on the card is that you could only use it to purchase items from their company, and that's fine.

I'm sorry, but the catalog has nothing in it that I want for the $50.00 I've already spent on the membership. There was nothing in the original letter to imply thst you could only use your credit at Consumer First.
Also the web adress leads to a log-in screen that when I logged on as I had specifically read in the packet, it said: Member Notification current phone number is not formatted: error
