Suddenly trying to collect a 6-year old debt for books I didn't purchase Syosset New York

Business & Finance

I received a collections notice dated March 20. I recognized the name of the Original Creditor; however, due to the date and things that were going on in my life during that time frame, I knew for a fact that I did not have an account with that creditor at that time. I called the creditor for more information and I had never even heard of the books on this "so called" order.

They told me to call the collection agency to tell them this was not my account and that I had not placed the order nor had I received the order. When I called RJM, they were rude and insisted that I just didn't remember ordering the products. They named the products which I again denied ever ordering or knowing anything about and as the representative continued to demand payment, I said, "This is bogus - take my name off of this account and your records." She hung up. Confirms my suspicions of the fradulent activities going on a RJM.
