Assetcare
Is there a reason for this company's interest in what's on my credit report?

Business & Finance

I just checked my credit report about an hour ago, and I noticed Assetcare had made an inquiry on 3/12/08. Of course they stuck out like a sore thumb not only because I had never heard of them, they were also the only inquiry listed. I would love to know where they bought their list of leads from and/or how long they've had my name since the info they gave to the credit bureau to access my info was an old address that I haven't used for about two years or so. Don't we, as consumers, have rights when it comes to unprovoked invasion of our lives?

I have yet to experience an encounter with this company (that I know of) but I know it wont be that much longer. Good luck getting a hold of me! If by chance they are successful at doing so, they're going to have an awful lot of explaining to do about how they were able to make contact with me. We'll see!
