Capital Benefits Group
Conned, Ripped off ripoff

Business & Finance

On November 4, Capital Benefits Group called me at 9 am and offered me a Visa card or a Master card with a $5000.00 credit limit but I needed to pay a one time processing fee of $289.99. I was told that I would never to pay any sort of annual fees or interest again. They asked for my bank name and routing number which I gave them as I thought they were a legitimate company and the offer sounded pretty good.

That day after the call I did some investigation online, I came across the website, usacomplaints.com and I found out that the actual company, Capital Benefits Group offers dental products. According to Capital Benefits Group, they have been receiving calls from people looking for their credit cards who also had been ripped off.

Immediately I called my bank and I was told that I could either close my entire account and reopen a new account or wait till the charges come through and wait for the bank to conduct an investigation on the charges.in the interim, I took out all my money from the bank before they could get to it. I also learned the hard way not to give out my bank account information. Unfortunately, as it is a electronic debit I cannot even make a stop payment thus they will be taking the 289.99 and I am also incurring $174.00 in overdraft and NSF charges due to this. My bank can only conduct the investigation after the

I have tried numerous times to contact the following number: 1 866-256-9466 and no one answers. When I call the following number 514-448-6995, I talk to some man who answers the phone, corporate office. I told him today that I am reporting him to the Attorney General of California and to usacomplaints.com and his response was that he would play my recording authorizing payment. I informed him that the company was fraudulent and thus he was allowed to play the recording. I am not the only person that was conned so I am not too concerned if he plays the recording and if he really is offering a mastercard or visa then I should see a credit card for $5,000. I also told him not to take the money out of my account. The falsity lies in that first of all I was told that I could ask to cancel this authorization at anytime and then being told that I authorized payment and now there is no ways I can stop the transaction. Though I spoke to the man very calmly, he told me that I was being hysterical by calling him and making these accusations. I am not the only person that was conned so I am not too concerned if he plays the recording and if he really is offering a mastercard or visa then I should see a credit card for $5,000.

I would like for this fraudulent company to refund me the $289.99 and the $174.00. They have caused me much frustration and I have wasted much time trying to chase after them and get this situation resolved.
