Blocks transfer of money out of account & won't provide advertised interest

After leaving one company for the next, I switched my e-mail account to ensure I would continue to receive account info. Without prior notice that this would, the simple modification of an e-mail address aparently blocks you from wire-transferring any monies available and in your account. When I called customer service, they asked me a series of questions and then told me I had failed to answer them correctly - which of course I did not.in a nut shell, I am now forced to see a notary and send a letter to Etrade asking them to wire transfer the money to my personal account. They cannot give me a time in which the funds will be transferred, only "after they process my request." I requested a wire transfer to the same bank I have always transferred funds to, my address was not changed or my bank account numbers. While customer service is polite, they are completely incapable of doing anything else. Additionally, when this company was offering a 5.25% interest rate on savings accounts, I indicated my acceptance to create one for storage of funds currently held in the brokerage account. After two e-mails to customer service and no response (to date), it was clear to me they would not fix the problem. Beware of this company.
