Fifth Third Of Indianapolis
Charge an exorbinate amount of fees

Business & Finance

Hi everyone,

My name is Justin and I am a real person from Indianapolis, Indiana. I am a member of a bank by the name of Fifth Third. I recently found out that their fine is $33 per overdraft. I mean literally if you overdraw 1 cent they charge you $33. Hypothetically speaking, if you over draw one cent right now that's a $33 fine and then you over draw again in five minutes one more cent you are fined another $33. The crazy thing is, if you overdraw $350, it is still only a $33 charge. Another nice thing they do for themselves is not prevent you from overdrawing. That's really nice of them! My story is I was fined over $500 in the month of January and never overdrew more than a very small fraction of that amount.

I feel that this is not fair, right, or good business practice to the community they choose to operate in. It should be based on the overdrawn amount and stop you from doing it. I simply had a automatic withdrawal setup that wasn't supposed to hit on that day and it did. Every time I used my card after that they fined me $33 per swipe. I lost over $500 in the month of January to fines. I have asked them to waive these fees as a courtesy to a loyal customer, if not all then some of it and they refused to. So this is what I feel is the next best solution. Just to get the word out about them and speak the truth. Their saying is something about "the things they do for dreams". Hell, I would hate to see what they do for nightmares!

America, what I need from you is to call my branch and ask for the manger, Mark. His number is 317-842-8726. Tell him if you don't agree with their fines. At the end of the call, say you did this for Justin. I would appreciate it. Also, his boss, the "Regional Manager", is TC Thomas. His number is 317-383-2669.

Once again, I asked for a refund and the both of them said no. I tried that way, but it didn't work. I am even told them I would be sending an email out to my closest 300 million friends and giving them free press. They said okay. I am actually just trying to EDUCATE the people. So please call them for me and last but not least, PLEASE FORWARD THIS EMAIL ON TO EVERYONE, and if not EVERYONE, then to at least someone.

Also if anyone out there is in the media, please have them email me at I have an outgoing personality and in my opinion my face is camera friendly:) I would love to get on the Today show or any media outlet and tell my story. Anyone, PLEASE HELP!

Thanks America,
Justin Pos...
