If you have a National City bank account you better watch it very closely, I had multiple debits for the same transactions and false debits for amounts that put my account in the negative and caused real transactions to bounce.
I then incurred fees which were in the hundreds of dollars, when I went to the bank to speak to someone the manager was never available and I was told he would call me but never did. I printed out my account history and took it to the bank to show them, the girl at the counter told me that they did not deal with the on-line banking and could not help me and could not explain the mysterious debits that were on the account.
I noticed a debit of $1200.00 on a specific day and knew that I had not had a transaction for that amount, it caused my account to be in the negative causing 7 other (real transactions) to be in the negative and I was charged $238.00 for NSF fees, the next day the $1200.00 was gone but I was still charged the fees. I have no idea what the $1200.00 was and it just disappeared and I know I did not have a purchase for that amount.
I work for a company that pushed National City to their employees so I opened the account for my direct deposit, I recently found out that other employees that I work with have closed their accounts for the same reasons.
My sister told me prior to opening this account that she had a lot of problems with National City and I opened it anyway and learned the hard way!
Ripping people off and HORRIBLE customer service is obviously a common practice at this bank!!!
