Unprofessional and Utilizing Harrassment Tactics... I was Cursed out and Hung up on!

I am an honest citizen and was owing up to the debt I owed to Saks 5th Avenue. I called the company asking how much I owed and if there was any deal that could have been made. I only owed about $300. They actually had caller ID and have been calling me at my job ever since to harrass me.

They are rude to the secretary and tell her that she is lying and that she is really me, pretending not to be. Othere times they leave rude messages saying to have me call, and when the secretary asks who or what organization is calling, they say "When she calls us back she'll find out."

When I called and asked for a supervisor, I was hung up on, and they told me I was rude. When I called back, seeing that the supervisor was unwilling to help, I asked for the mailing address, I told the supervisor that I would be sending in a written complaint, she said that's fine and would I send in the check with the complaint. I told her as soon as I get the $ i will send in the check. Another time when I told her she was very rude, the rep snidely told me "I'm not the one in collections am I?"

Since they were harrassing me at my job and being rude to the office secretary I asked them to have some manners and class when they call. They said since I did not want them calling my job, for me to give them my residential phone number. When I refused, the rep said "Fine, I will just go into the computer to get it."

Basically, a very rude and vulgar, uneducated bunch of idiots. It's not like I was hiding or trying to avoid paying, but it seems like by me being honest and trying to settle, it was the worst thing I ever did.
