The charge about overdraft is not so reasonable

I met a question that is believed to meet for many customers of wachovia bank. I think the overdraft was only 22.50, why was the additional 70.00 produced? It is not really reasonable and I don't know how to be solved, because my oral expression of English is not good if I would ask the staff of wachovia bank.
